Women Only Social Network

This is my third blog and I decided to take a break from relationship and self-esteem and take a chance at the second love of my life, fashion. Now growing up I was very much a tomboy, so my fashion sense was pretty much sweats and t-shirts. But as I came to college I started to shop more and look at shopping in a different light. Being a curvy young woman, one of my major problems with clothes was that they were either too small or in some cases too big. And the fact that some stores had a very unattractive plus size section didn’t make the matter better. But as I began to shop around more I found many great styles in various places that flattered the body of a curvy women—because of my college budget some of these places include Old Navy, Aeropostale, Target and my new love for Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line Bitten

The designs in Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bitten collection are very cute and playful, by this I mean that you can buy a simple black dress and create different looks with it. The right accessories can make any outfit. The clothes are very affordable—which is a plus if you’re a college student like myself. In a Steve and Barry’s store you can find most of the collection for $9.98 or less. Like any conscience shopper, I find myself always trying to measure quality and cost. You know when there is an outfit that you adore, but the price is outrageous, now sadly I admit to betraying my wallet and buying something that I obviously could have gotten for less, but when you have to have something I think price sometimes can become vague. But what I like about this collection is that I don’t feel like I’m wasting my money. I can buy a couple of items and still be able to live happily while waiting for my next paycheck.

I would recommend anyone to take a look at the collection, especially if you’re looking for something new for spring. There are cute summery dresses that look great with Ballet Flats or Flip Flops. Another thing I appreciate is that many of the items can look elegant and classy but still have s playful twist to them with the right accessories. For example my friend bought a black sleeveless dress and wore it to work and then turned it into a funky night outfit. For work she adorned it with white pearls, a green sweater, and black flats. Then when she went out that night she switched it and replaced the sweater with a fitted red blazer, black handbag, and white pumps.

I believe that you should have fun with fashion and make a statement that represents you. Everyone could have the same shirt or dress, but how you accessorize and assemble the outfit is what makes you different.
