Why do Women Love Romantic Movies?

Call it what you will – sappy, cliché, schmaltzy – the truth is, no member of the female gender can say no to the lure of seeing Cary Grant romance Deborah Kerr in “An Affair to Remember”. Whether you like classics such as “Gone with the Wind”, a modern twist of a Cinderella story in “Ever After” or the tearjerker “Love Story” – romantic movies have this way of melting the hearts of even the most cynical modern city woman.

If you’re asking why – there is really no straightforward answer that I can give you. What I can personally say is that those ‘chick flicks’ that men often mockingly refer to is my companion during an ugly breakup, on a cold, rainy night – even when I’m PMS’ing or when I just plain want to be in love with the thought of being in love.
