What do you think about friendship between men and women? Is it possible?
Do you have any good examples?
Some people say that it doesn't exist. Some people say they have one, and those who think that it's impossible say to them that it can be only if one of the friends is interested in being more than friends:)
Some say that it's possible only if they've already had sex or relationship and now it's over.
I have one more opinion about friendship between men and women. I asked one of my friends about his opinion - and he told me that any man-woman relationship start with sexual attraction. And even if you are "just friends" - it's always possible to change into something more.
Differences can bring people together. especially if the differences interest the other party. men and women were created to be together. in today's world, boys and girls go through the same education, mostly exposed to the same things. aside from certain cultural, religious, and social aspects, there really is no separation between males and females. people can argue that guys and gals think differently, but my best mate, who is a guy, doesn't think like me at all. yet we're still friends. understanding&trust&tolerance between two people is enough, and these things are built regardless of sex.
now, do these things HAVE to lead to something else? No, why should it? it can, but it doesn't have to. i have a lots of very close friends who are boys, and i think nothing of it. maybe cos i'm not attracted to them, maybe they're not what i'm looking for whatever it is, it remains a friendship.
best friends? oooh this gets tougher. well, i don't know if anyone else does this, but i have a mate who has agreed with his gal friend about not going for each other. to do this, they both keep a girlfriend and boyfriend each, constantly. this method may be crude and might seem wrong, but it's working so far. can this easily be applied for everyone else? i think not.
